2008 sees the 34th anniversary of The Soham Pumpkin Fair. It is now one of the longest running events in Soham and we should like to thank all those that have generously supported this event over its many years.

The Soham Pumpkin Fair started life as a fund raising idea for The Shades School in Soham, a way of encouraging children and their parents to enter into friendly competition with one and another.

Since those small beginnings, like the giant pumpkins we see each year, the fair has grown and grown. During its thirty two years the Fair has raised over £37 700 for local charities, schools and organisations.

But its ideal remains the same, to encourage children and their families  to grow and care for their pumpkins, sunflowers and other produce and to enter into friendly competition.

All proceeds from this year will be donated to local charities and groups. This year's beneficiaries will be:
